What does Updating mean for the old file?

Question

Two words on the Status page. Need them plain, because a reply in here can sit for days.

Editorial answers maintained on this site — not messages from players.

Note 1
Undetected: that build is the one currently listed as ready. Updating: wait. The old file stays closed.
Note 2
A Tuesday note is not Friday’s label. Open Status. The load-order thread applies when the label says Undetected. It does not override Updating. The label is not a promise that it stays green, and it is not a statement about an account.
Note 3
Price questions belong on the product page. This closed thread is only the label.
